Kama J Frankling – (BSHS, Grad Dip Counselling)
Currently based in the UK. I have been a happy migrant and expat for over 30 years, living in several different countries.
I was born in England and at the age of 13 I found myself moving to East Africa. From Africa my journey continued to New Zealand, back to Africa, Canada, Norway, The Netherlands, Singapore, back to New Zealand, Australia and now back in the UK.
This journey has been exciting, although not always easy. Raising children in a foreign country without my immediate family around me was difficult at times, and during my divorce, while living in Singapore, I struggled when trying to decide where home was. However, on the whole I have had an amazing life with an abundance of life experiences. I have met many wonderful people on my journey, many of whom remain good friends today. I would not want my life to be any different.
I now use the combination of my life experiences and my education to help others enjoy the moving experience. During my travels I started to realise that it is often the little unknowns which can cause stress. The intention of The Happy Migrant is to bring awareness to these little unknowns, in turn leaving some inner space for enjoying the journey.

I wish you the best of luck on your new adventures …
