There is some really helpful advice here. People should definitely take this into consideration when they’re sorting their house out. I would say that it’s particularly important to get professional help when doing it or, at least, purpose made boxes. That way there’s one less thing to worry about, if boxes start to break.

I just literally landed in Johannesburg after finally completing all the parts of my 9 month migration from Fanwood, NJ to Sandton, South Africa. I am giving myself a break for the rest of the day thanks to your example! Love your books and blog.

As an American who spent most of my adult life living in France, I had my share of administrative questions with embassies and consulates. None of them were ever related to safety issues, though. Usually the snags were few and far between. However, when things did come up we would wonder if anyone at all knew what they were doing or if I was the only person in the world who had ever had this kind of problem or question.
